The name Kölsch is protected by law: only beers brewed in and around Cologne may bear the name. FRÜH Kölsch is brewed according to the original recipe of the founder Peter Josef Früh, following the German Beer Purity Law of 1516. It is topfermented, crisp and refreshing with a dry hop finish and a light golden colour. FRÜH Kölsch has been awarded the world‘s toughest beer seal to obtain - the “Slow Brewing“ seal - and produces one of the best Kölsch beers in the world.
