Take one whiff of Magic Rock's High Wire Grapefruit American-style Pale Ale and you'll wonder if they've started growing grapefruit trees in Huddersfield. Indeed, about the only thing obvious on the nose is a deliciously sweet grapefruit--more like the pink or ruby kinds. Whilst the grapefruit flavour is still very obvious it is accompanied by other flavours like lemon sweets and biscuity malts. A solid bitterness helps balance the sweetness and its carbonation and dry finish carries it on for what seems like forever. Bottom line on this beer? It does what it says on the tin (can): Grapefruit, grapefruit, grapefruit!
