The story behind Hawkstone lager
Hawkstone Lager is the result of a passionate collaboration between individuals committed to brewing excellence. And since every great beer starts with quality grain, who better to be involved than the farmer himself?
That farmer is Jeremy Clarkson, a well-known British presenter and journalist, especially famous for his work in the automotive world. Since 2019, he’s been living on a farm where he cultivates his own grain and raises livestock. Dedicated to quality and supporting local businesses, he decided to use his own grain to supply nearby breweries.
That’s where Rick and Emma from the Cotswold Brewery come in. Sharing the same values around local sourcing and quality, they quickly hit it off with Jeremy. Rick, the master brewer, turned his passion into a profession after completing a four-year brewing and distilling course. With years of experience at both large breweries and the Pilgrim microbrewery, Rick honed his craft before teaming up with Jeremy.
The third key player in this beer’s creation is Kaleb, the man who grew the barley. A fan of cider himself, he even inspired the launch of Hawkstone Cider. While we don’t have that cider yet, PerfectDraft does offer Orchard Pig Reveller, a popular choice for cider lovers.
