Ingredients:
- 150 g caster sugar
- 250 g flour
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 2 tablespoons orange blossom water (optional)
- 1 sachet of baking powder
- 1 medium pumpkin
- 3 eggs
- 20 g butter
- 1 pumpkin beer or one scariest beer for Halloween !
Preparation:
Start by preheating your oven to 180°C.
Peel the pumpkin and cut it into small pieces. Melt the butter in a large saucepan, then add the pumpkin pieces once the butter is melted. Stir occasionally and cook until the pumpkin softens, about 15-20 minutes.
Use a blender or food processor to puree the cooked pumpkin until smooth.
In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, sugar, orange blossom water, and vanilla sugar. Mix well. Gently fold in the pumpkin purée and stir to combine.
Add the pumpkin beer to the mixture and stir thoroughly.
Gradually add the flour and baking powder, mixing until smooth and well combined.
Grease and flour your chosen cake tin, then pour in the batter. Bake for about 50 minutes, checking doneness with a knife—if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
For extra Halloween fun, decorate your cake with spooky touches and serve it alongside our selection of Halloween beers. Enjoy!
