How to Set Up Your PerfectDraft Machine

Just got your PerfectDraft machine? Great choice! Before you pour that first pint, let’s make sure everything’s set up properly. Follow these simple steps to get your machine ready and you’ll be enjoying perfectly chilled, pub-quality beer in no time.

 
 Step 1: Find the Perfect Spot
Place your PerfectDraft machine on a flat surface and leave at least 10cm of space around the back and sides for proper ventilation.
Once it’s positioned, plug it in and switch it on, and you're nearly there!

Step 2: Install the Tap and Tray
Now, let’s get your pouring setup sorted:
•    Attach the tap handle firmly.
•    Clip on the medallions.
•    Fit the drip tray into place.
Your PerfectDraft is already starting to look the part.
 
Step 3: Prep the Keg
Grab your keg and remove the plastic protective cap. Inside the keg pack, you’ll find the tube connector - take that out and get ready to attach it.
Before you start, give your tap unit a quick rinse in warm water to keep things clean and fresh.


 
Step 4: Connect the Keg
Now it’s time to connect everything:
1.    Click down both sides of the tap unit onto the keg.
2.    Slide the tube connector into the opening on the tap unit until it clicks into place.
3.    Insert the tap unit and keg into your PerfectDraft machine and close the door firmly.
Yay! Your keg is in and ready to chill.
 
Step 5: For PerfectDraft Pro Users
If you’ve got the PerfectDraft Pro, you get a few extra smart features to make your experience even better:
1.    Set your chilling temperature using the + and – buttons on the machine.
2.    Connect your machine to the PerfectDraft app to control temperature remotely and see keg freshness (check out our guide on How to Connect Your Machine to the App).
3.    Wait until it’s cooled… and then pour your perfect beer!
Tip: The cooling time depends on the starting temperature of your keg. Once it’s ready, the display will show the perfect pour temperature.

Once your keg has reached its ideal temperature, you’re all set. Grab a clean glass, pull the tap, and enjoy that satisfying first pour.
