Kees Bubberman, the Dutch brewing expert
Although the name Kees may sound like “kiss,” it is actually the first name of the founder of the Dutch brewery Kees Bubberman. Formerly a passionate home brewer, he had the opportunity to work at Emelisse Brewery in Kamperland, where he became a world-renowned master brewer. Far from limiting himself to traditional styles, he brews a wide range of beers inspired by both British and American traditions, from lagers to imperial stouts.
In 2015, Kees Bubberman returned to his hometown of Middelburg, where he significantly increased production while maintaining a strong focus on quality. His commitment was rewarded with the Pure & Craft quality label, which guarantees consistency and excellence. In 2018, Kees became the first craft brewery in the Netherlands to produce exclusively canned beer, a choice made to better protect hops from light and oxygen. Once canned, the beers are immediately stored in a cold room, ensuring optimal freshness and allowing consumers to fully enjoy every aroma and flavour.

Core Range
The Core Range includes flagship beers designed to appeal to a wide audience while retaining strong character. Carefully selected hops and malts define these beers, such as Mosaic Hop, Hazy Sunrise and Caramel Fudge Stout.
One Off’s Series
This series highlights experimental beers, exploring new styles, ingredients and techniques. Expect bold creations like Milkshake IPA, barrel-aged Double IPA, Pastry Sour or Double NEIPA. A standout example is the Caramel Fudge Stout B.A. Wild Turkey Edition, a true showcase of creativity.
Barrel Projects Series
The Barrel Projects Series focuses on barrel ageing, enhancing complexity and depth. These barrels previously contained spirits such as rum, tequila or whisky, imparting distinctive aromas. Occasionally, exceptional beer barrels are reused to create equally remarkable new brews.
Brewed With Friends
Collaboration is at the heart of craft brewing. Several times a year, Brouwerij Kees partners with breweries from around the world to create unique beers. Collaborators include Cloudwater (USA), Other Half and Magic Rock (UK), Laugar and La Pirata (Spain), Pohjala and Sori (Estonia), among many others.
