Perfect Geek: How to get the best beer from PerfectDraft

How well do you know your PerfectDraft machine? Whether it’s the PerfectDraft Pro, Black or the original Philips, we’ll tell you how to make the very most from it.

THE PERFECT SERVE AWAITS

Stella Artois was again an official partner of The Championships, Wimbledon, so what better time to remind ourselves of how to serve the perfect beer, every time?

Wait until the beer is cold. Temperature matters. Pro owners should have a look at our serving temperature guide right.

Checking that your glass is clean before you pour is probably the most important thing you can do. If there are bubbles on the side of the glass, it’s dirty. Try warm water in a bowl with a teaspoon of baking soda. Rinse the glass in cold water.

Hold the glass under the spout at a 45-degree angle.

Open the tap quickly and fully in one movement.

Let it flow. Allow the beer to flow against the side of the glass and start to straighten when the beer touches the golden strip on the rim and release the tap handle.

Dry the bottom of the glass. Place it on a clean beer mat. Serve it with the brand’s logo on the glass facing your guest. We’re not savages you know.

Serving temperature guide
PerfectDraft Pro owners can set the temperature of the beer. Here are our suggested temperatures for different beer styles.

Rapid cooling mode coming soon. Keep an eye out for an app update for rapid cooling mode.
* Watch out for new stouts and porters.

Tips
You can pre-chill your kegs in the refrigerator, but not in the freezer. Or place the keg(s) in a bucket filled with cold water, and some ice for a couple of hours.

Use a brush or vacuum cleaner to keep the air vents clear.

If ice builds up inside the cabinet, defrost your PerfectDraft machine by turning it off and unplugging it for a while. Leave the door open, and water will drain into the drip tray.
