BBP: craft beer in the heart of Brussels
Located in the heart of the Belgian capital, Brussels Beer Project is a pioneering microbrewery founded in 2013 by brewers Sebastien and Olivier. Their ambition was clear: to reinvent Belgian beer by breaking away from overly traditional styles and bringing fresh, modern creativity to the craft beer scene.
Sebastien, Olivier and Delta IPA
The adventure began in 2013 with the brewery’s very first craft beer: Delta IPA.

Brewed with the help of crowdfunding, Delta IPA was made possible thanks to the active support of beer lovers who financially contributed to this iconic creation. This Belgian-style India Pale Ale lager has an alcohol content of 6.5% and showcases the fruity character of Citra and Smaragd hops.
In the glass, it displays a golden blonde colour with copper highlights, crowned by a thick, creamy white head. The nose reveals intense aromas of pine, hops, tropical fruits, and citrus notes such as lemon and grapefruit. On the palate, a pronounced bitterness is balanced by fruity flavours, leading to a dry and lingering finish. Recently canned, Delta IPA now reaches an even wider audience, reinforcing the belief shared by many craft brewers that cans represent the future of craft beer.
With this success, the project continued to grow. Today, nearly 20 passionate team members work at Brussels Beer Project, united by the desire to create unique beers that reflect the vibrant spirit of Brussels.
Experimentation at the core
Brussels Beer Project thrives on innovation and experimentation. Each year, the brewery organises prototype tastings, during which four or five experimental beers are presented to the public. Beer lovers vote for their favourite, and one winning recipe earns a place in the permanent range.

Delta IPA, Grosse Bertha, Babylone, Jungle Joy, Wunder Lager, and Juice Junkie: six permanent beers brewed over six years, all born from this collaborative and creative process.
The Barley loop
Committed to sustainability and the circular economy, the brewery shines a spotlight on one of its most innovative beers: Babylone.
Brewed with recycled bread, Babylone represents a concrete step in the fight against food waste. In return, spent grain from brewing can be reused to make bread again. This virtuous cycle is known as the barley loop. Since its launch, many other breweries have joined the movement, proving that quality craft beer and sustainability can go hand in hand.
Wanderlust festival
To discover Brussels Beer Project and its beers in a festive atmosphere, beer lovers can attend the Wanderlust Festival, held in Brussels. International craft breweries such as Cloudwater, Brewski, Mikkeller, and Brewfist also take part, making it a must-attend event for fans of global craft beer.

You can also enjoy BBP beers in their dedicated bars, including locations in Paris and beyond. After opening bars in Brussels, Paris, and Tokyo, the brewery continues to expand with a second production site capable of brewing an additional 35,000 hectolitres. Brussels Beer Project is clearly here to stay—and your taste buds will thank you.
